The study of
reality requires tools that should be appropriate to the type of
phenomena that are to be investigated. Thus, for complex
phenomena that have a network character Knownetlab applies the
following appropriate methodologies: network analysis (in
the strict sense of the word), Boolean networks (and the
corresponding NK-FL models), and the simulation models
with interacting
agents.
Indeed, most social and natural phenomena are structured as
complex networks, meaning that they are nonlinear, weakly
decomposable, involving the observer, multi-criteria,
mathematically intractable, and producing emergent and immergent
properties. Hence, traditional methodological approaches are
ineffective.
Knownetlab applies both traditional
and innovative methodologies:
- Simulation Modeling
- Social Network Analysis
- Multi-Criteria
