Marco Valente is Assistant
Professor at the Faculty of Management and Economics of the
University of L'Aquila. He taught Institutions of Economics,
Industrial Economics and Computer Sciences for Economics, at
the present institutions.
Marco Valente graduated in Statistics and Economic Sciences
at the University of Rome, under the supervision of Prof.
g.Dosi La Sapienza. He got a M.A. in Economics at the
University of Manchester and a PhD in Economics at the
University of Aalbog, Denmark. He worked for various
research institutes such as CNR (Rome), IIASA (Vienna),
ISTAT (Rome), University of Trento (a post-doc position).
His research interests focus mainly on the use of
agent-based simulations, that brought to the development of
"Laboratory for Simulation Development" (LSD), a programming
plaftorm particularly suited to generate simulation models
(http://www.business.aau.dk/lsd). As a member of the
Evolutionary Economics school his work is centered on
industrial dynamics, the modelisation of demand,
technological innovation, complexity and organizational
changes. |
