Alessia Sammarra, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor at the
Faculty of Management and Economics of the University
of L'Aquila. She also teaches courses in organizational
behaviour and organization theory at the Faculty of Psychology
of the University La Sapienza of Rome and collaborates
as senior researcher with the School of Management of
the University Luiss Guido Carli.
She received her PhD in Organisational Behaviour and Theory
at the University of Molise. She was visiting research
scholar at the Department of Speech Communication of University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (08/1998-12/1999).
In 2000 she earned a grant from the European Science Foundation
for the admission to the European Summer Research Institute
for the Comparative Study of Economic Organization.
Since 2000 she participates as senior researcher in two
international research consortia funded by the European
Commission.
Her main research interests include inter-organisational
networks and industrial districts, the impact of ICT on
organisational structures and processes, organizational
design, human resources management and organizational
identity.
